Violence Prevention through Public Health
Violence prevention from a public health perspective considers the multiple levels of risk that can impact a person at the individual, relationship, community or societal level. Because of this multiplicity, the WHO stresses the importance of integrated strategies that involve different governmental and nongovernmental sectors tackling the roots of violence in a coordinated way. Prerequisites to action include the identification and consultation with key stakeholders.
